Sukcesorzy (wariant na 5) - Pola Chwały 2014

Post autor: Leliwa »

Zamieszczam propozycję zmian w stosunku do wersji podstawowej Sukcesorów, którą chciałbym zastosować na tegorocznych Polach Chwały. Czekam na uwagi.
Alexander’s
SUCCESSORS

Generals’ Special Abilities

Antipater: Has a 4 Battle Rating in Macedonia.

Demetrius: When moving by sea gets +1 DR for Naval Battle. Adds +1 DR to the surrender phase siege attempt.

Peithon: Has a 4 Battle Rating against independent armies. When moving through Hostile Tribes spaces gets -1 DR. If in a friendly Persian Capital city during Reinforcement phase, receive one more Mercenary unit.

Seleucus: Effects of the Anti-Elephant Devices Card against him -1 DR. In combat his EL CU have -1 DR (instead of -2).

Perdiccas: Removes a minor city garrison marker if occupied at the end of the movement phase. At the end of each turn may convert one Loyal Macedonian unit into RA Macedonian unit.
His Army with Alexander’s Funeral Cart have forage limit of 10.

Craterus: Exempt from the effect of the Mutiny Surprise Card. Under his command RA Macedonian CU receive one more strength factor if DR 4-6. After defeating 10+ strength enemy army, may try to convert one L Macedonian CU into RA Macedonian on DR 5-6.

Lysimachus: Avoids battle on DR 1-5. If defeated Mercenary CUs are not eliminated, but undergo attrition.

Antigonus: 5 MPs on a movement roll of 6. Gets additional +1 strength for Interception. If victorious in battle, enemy has +1 DR for Attrition.

Eumenes: Intercepts and Avoids battle on DR 1-5. Has +1 DR for subjugation of independent markers in Cappadocia. If defeated, has -1 DR for Attrition.

Leonnatus: 6 MPs when moving with a Major Campaign Event Card. Pursues on DR 1-4. If controls Hellespont gets +1 DR for Naval Combat.

Ptolemy: Adds +1 DR to the Desertion Surprise Card. Has +1 strength in Egypt. Defeated fleet is automatically returned from dispersed box in the Reinforcement Phase.

Cassander: Has +1 DR for subjugation of independent markers in Greece. May remove from play any royal family member he is stacked with (including inactive).

Tyche Card Errata

-Persian Popular Support: receive two mercenary CU immediately.

-Storms at Sea: plus attrition.

-Port Resupplied: remove all siege points.

-Major Campaign: one Army receives 5 movement points.

-Fog: may also cancel and land interception.

-Asian Phalanx: it arrives immediately.

New Rules - Improvements

RA CU – Royal Army Macedonian combat units are elite veteran troops, therefore for each such factor in combat roll a die and on DR 5-6 add one strength point to the army.

Siege attempts: no more then one in each Tyche card activation segment and movement segment. Each tyche card and movement DR segment allow one only siege attempt, no matter of the card or DR value. Maximum number of siege attempts in one (army’s) round is 3 (surrender, tyche and movement segment).

Surprise Sorties: a player who has (up to 2) CUs inside a besieged major city may make a surprise sortie. Each CU may make a separate surprise sortie. Surprise sorties must occur during the enemy – besieger’s activation. Roll one die on the Siege Table. No DR modifiers are ever used. If the result calls for a CU loss, then the sortie suffered heavy casualties and one CU from inside the besieged city is removed. If the result achieved a siege point, then one siege point is removed from the city. Siege points may never be reduced below zero and a surprise sortie never causes losses to the besieger.

Interception, Avoiding Battle: (is like in Hannibal Rome versus Carthage) successful DR <= Battle Rating.
Interception is possible into any adjacent space (enemy or independent controlled) except across sea and mountain path. Failed Avoid Battle does not loose local troops. Avoid into friendly or neutral spaces only.
Successful Interception +1 strength. Unsuccessful Avoiding Battle -1 strength.
Interception into: transit space, enemy or independent controlled space +1 DR.

Interceptor is the attacker (interception is not defense).

King of Asia: Babylonia, Phrygia, Syria. In addition, when a faction is proclaimed King of Asia it receives immediately 1 Mercenary CU and 2 Mercenary CU in each Reinforcement Phase.

Alexander’s Tomb: Burial from turn 2 in a major city (including Babylon). The major city (except Pella) need to be controlled. If the body is buried anywhere except at Pella, then who ever controls the major city where the body is buried receives the Guardian of the Tomb Legitimacy marker which is worth 2 legitimacy points. If control of the major city changes, the Tomb Legitimacy marker is immediately given to the new owner.
If the body is buried at Pella, that faction receives 10 LPs, and these points can never be lost. Pella does not receive 2 legitimacy points. Control of Pella is not necessary for burial there, the ceremony and the tomb are outside of the Pella.
The burial place also becomes Sacred Ground – defending army there gains 4 Prestige Points if attacked.

Inter Allied Cooperation: a player who has an army within 2 spaces of a space where a battle is about to be fought between two other players may attempt to support one side, as with an interception (successful if DR<= general’s Battle Rating). That army stays in place and adds one halve of it’s battle strength (round up) and may apply to either player in a battle. If victorious it stays in place, and if defeated it is dispersed.

Five player automatic victory: 20 VP or 18 LP.

Historical Factions and Orders of Battle

-Imperial: Perdiccas 4RA, 4M, 2E; Eumenes 4M
-Regency: Antipater 2RA, 2L, 1M; Craterus 3 RA, 2L, 1M
-Ptolemaic: Ptolemy 1L, 4M; Lysimachus 1L, 2M
-Seleucid: Seleucus 2L; Peithon 2L, 3M (Leonnatus)
-Antigonid: Antigonus 1L, 4M; Leonnatus 1L, 5M (Peithon)

Variant: randomly distribute Perdiccas, Ptolemy, Antipater, Craterus and Leonnatus.
Then randomly distribute Antigonus, Eumenes, Seleucus, Lysimachus and Peithon.

Variant: randomly choose 2 players to control Imperial and Regency factions and the other 6 generals are randomly handled to the remaining 3 players.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, jak mawiali starożytni Grecy :-)

Jeśli chodzi o pochówek Aleksandra to w 3 edycji jest napisane "The major city does not need to be in your control."
W tym wariancie natomiast stoi:
"The major city (except Pella) need to be controlled."
Ponadto modyfikacja dodaje jeszcze 4 Prestige Points za obronę miasta z truchłem Aleksandra.

Ta modyfikacja mi sie podoba. O pozostałych mam zdanie podobne do Raubrittera - zbyteczna komplikacja.
Panowie! Stajecie się z wiekiem coraz bardziej konserwatywni. Prawie jak Sukiennice. ;) No ale cóż, gra i ja są "at your service" jak mawiają komputerowi Anglicy.

Ja mam z tymi zasadami dodatkowymi kilka problemów. I problem numer 3 to sama sensowność akurat tych konkretnych zmian charakterystyk wodzów.
