Just finished most popular wargaming event in Poland. I'll try to write more in nearest future (only time..)
On sunday morning I have an occasion to meet some people from Czech Republic in one of the houses by Mrs. Bartnikowska. But we were to sleepy to talk. So if you are here, please write sth.

I haven't written anything so far but so it is (lack time).
However I would ask this people who were on Fields of glory to put here (copy) photos and links to photos if possible. Unfortunately I couldn't do any photo.

These are only some of the pictures which I've taken during the Fields of Glory. The convent itself I'm rating very high. The whole organisation was good, and Robert, chief of staff and main administrator, was open on new ideas. That's why I believe, the next FoG will be even better. Whole palace was divided very functionally. Boardgames were into the two rooms, one next to another, and wargames (both historical and fantasy) were occupied rest of the palace (including underground). On the corral and gardens guest could see presentation of medieval dances, and Napoleonic and World War 2 reacting groups acting shows.
Whole FoG convent was very successful party, and I'm counting on the next one.
Regards
Thomas

I`d like to thank all those players who had put up with games that I had played - especially games about ancient warfare on tactic and strategic level (dynamic ones, of course )
First, two pictures from C&C:Ancients. We didn`t play any scenario, our collegues are in process of creating point system for battles in that game.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 280005.jpg
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 280004.jpg
I had personally played twice. One spectacular win and one ignominous defeat. Maybe friends next time will have solution for implementation of terrain and artillery into their point system?
I must also admit that I played twice "Hannibal Barkas", new Polish title about Second Punic War. I`m not present at photos because of my simultanous play in battle of Pharsalos (Great Battles of History GMT)
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 280007.jpg
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 280006.jpg
Next day, came battle of Lilybaeum, where Pyrrhus was supposed to smash army of Carthage... At least, according to history... because before elephants could roll up Carthaginian flank, pesky mercenaries and Numidian cavalry made breakthrough in reserve hoplite line holding flank on the other side of battlefield.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 290018.jpg
This big battle was fought in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding. Number of players - five.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 290019.jpg
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 290020.jpg
Contrary to popular opinion, maneuver was crucial in play. Pyrrhus shifted almost all cavalry available on one side.
http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc15 ... 290011.jpg
It was fatal mistake! Heavy infantry line never had a chance to form itself. When first Greek unit had routed, the end was approaching quite fast.
Thus Carthage has won. Let`s hope that Dido sons will achieve one more victory next time... or that I will have privilege to defeat them fair and square (being fan of ancient Greeks...). Let the dice roll

Everyone sees that even a beautiful full moon starts to change its shape becoming smaller as the time passes. Even in our human lives things are as it is.
